Summer's Here!
Summer's definitely arrived; the sun's out and very hot already, the house is full of ants and flies and the pansies are withering rapidly. The radio's already telling us of all the traffic jams on the way to the beach and needless to say we won't be joining them. Decided the twins can wait another year for the Italian beach experience and we'll just take it in turns taking Luca for daytrips on the train. Have already been down to the river behind our house for a paddle. Luca quite happy in his birthday suit (and several cm of suncream) helping other kids to build islands and dams etc and the twins eager to go for a dip but not allowed as the water's freezing.
Amy and Tanya have been enjoying crawling around the courtyard, playing in the sandpit (for a few minutes) and in the muck (for as long as we'll let them) and toughening up their knees (though what use that is I don't know). Luca desparately wants to finish school so he can play with all the bigger children who are out in the street every night until at least 10 o'clock. There have been a few angry tears lately when he's been called in to go to bed but only one more week to go then we can all relax a bit more. The twins have also started playing up a bit when they're put in their cots but generally speaking we still manage to get them off to sleep 7ish every night so keeping ourselves just about sane!

Return of the warthog face!
Must get photo of Luca at same age pulling same face scanned in one day.
