Finally, a new post!
My third attempt in recent weeks to get a new post submitted. Fingers crossed! Christmas and New Year passed us by in a flash, as usual. Luca and the girls were spoiled rotten by family, friends and Father Christmas! Manolo has vowed that next year will be different - I'll believe it when I see it.
Here we all are at Manolo's Mum and Dad's on Christmas Day. Luca's looking grumpy, probably exhausted from opening all those presents!
Our Christmas lunch comprised :
anti pasti - salami, parma ham, peppers with bagna caoda.
first course - homemade ravioli
main course - wild boar cooked in red wine and/or roast pork and/or roast veal with carrots or spinach.
dessert - panettone and/or cheese.
And yes, we were all totally stuffed!

This picture was taken some days after Christmas. The elephant, nicknamed "Nazun" by Manolo, which is "Big Nose" in piemontese, was given to the girls by our friends Vanessa and Albino, and proved to be a big hit.

Manolo and Luca's new year hair cuts. What a handsome pair!!

This is the only photo we have of the 19th International Balloon Meeting at Mondovi, just down the road from us. It was a spectacular day with the launching of 38 hot air balloons including one shaped like a rolled up Financial Times - Luca's favourite. I also did a couple of 3 min films before the batteries ran out on my camera and guess what, the batteries I knew were in my bag so hadn't stopped to check because I had so many other things to remember and organise before setting off, WEREN'T THERE! How infuriating. Will just have to go back next year.
Just time before the girls wake up to wish you all a happy, healthy 2007 and look forward to hearing from you all soon or visiting your blobs.
