Snow etc

Today it's almost snowing again.  Is winter ever going to end? I certainly hope so! Better get some photos posted before the sun comes out and tempts me away from the computer.......These first few are in Tetto Piano, just before Christmas and after a satisfyingly substantial snowfall!
Amy loves building snowmen. We lost the hat a few times as each snowman was subsequently buried in a new downpour but it's back on the shelf now, waiting for next winter.....
Amy also loves bobbing, and we certainly had ample opportunity again this winter.
Luca helps to give an idea of just how deep it gets!
Guess this photo should be turned around but maybe this way it's easier to tell that it's Tanya!
Luca the strongman!
Now here are a few festive ones, starting with the christmas show at the nursery. Amy and Tanya front row, left, Amy struggling to hold back the tears and Tanya already missing hat and with sore throat!

Father Christmas hands out presents and cracks one joke after another.
Different day, different party. Manolo "gets involved" playing party games with the twins.
Amy has a good go at whacking the pinata (made by Tammy who's giving her loads of encouragement).
Luca sends pinata crashing to the floor, as expected as he was the biggest child there and held back til last.

Tanya had great fun helping me make mince pies one day and I really enjoyed spending the time just with her.

As usual, Christmas Day was pretty chaotic so very few photos taken but here's one of Manolo in the thick of it!

I made numerous attempts to take a nice picture of the three terrors before they tucked into one of our christmas cakes (pandoro) for breakfast one day but gave up in the end as they were too manic. This is the best of the bunch.....

More snow fell in January and February and also March come to think of it. We didn't have any one-off record breaking dumpings like last year but we certainly had enough to last right up until we'd pretty much had enough of the stuff!
Eating jaffa cakes in the snow. Have to keep our energy levels up when there's some serious bobbing to be done!
Amy on her way down....
....and Tanya on her way up!
Luca none too happy about Daddy being in front!
Time out for a photo shoot.
Manolo tries to liberate the car so he can go and buy bread.......Italians must have bread, whatever the weather!
Obviously the neighbours had some in the freezer.....they're always far better prepared than we are.
Happy families!
Bobbing off into the sunset. Well, to the end of the road, at least!

And finally.........whilst looking up at a public convenience with simbols for gents, ladies and disabled all in a row, Amy had this observation to make "There's one person sitting on the toilet and two people waiting." Maybe you have to be there at the time but she cracks me up every time...........
