Halloween and Autumny Bits.
This halloween we made a lantern for the first time. Hard work scraping all that pumpkin mush out but worth the effort. Luca went trick or treating with kids in Tetto Piano but unfortunately I was too slow to get photo. I'd asked Manolo to buy a bag of sweets to give out to them and he came home with half the shop - two months later and the sweet tin is still brimming!

One Sunday in early November we went to a fair during which there was a procession of animals which had been brought down from the mountainside. Traditionally, they do this on Saint Luca's Day so it seemed quite apt that we go and see them. It was also interesting to see how the girls reacted to being so close to so many beasts! Truthfully, we got a bit too close and whilst filming and balancing Tanya on one knee, I almost lost my balance, just managing to avoid a very close encounter with the herd of cows that was storming past! Tanya was unfazed by it all but Amy obviously wasn't terribly happy, probably because the sound of all those giant cowbells was at times deafening.

Amy with Mummy's knickers over one arm, Luca's cap (which she'd put on herself) and Luca's toy snake, making Mummy laugh while she was on the phone to Nanna!
